Our in-house watchmakers have sized tens of thousands of bracelets and are comfortable with effectively all bracelet styles and link types.
- Modern Rolex Style Bracelets – Oyster, Jubilee, President
- Vintage Rolex Bracelets – Folded links and riveted
- Integrated Bracelets – Patek Phillipe Nautilius, Audemars Piguet (AP) Royal Oak, Vacheron Constantin Overseas, Tissot PRX, Christopher Ward The Twelve, etc.
- Elastic/Expanding Bracelets
- All other Styles – Shark and Milanese Mesh, Engineer, Beads of Rice, Bonclip, Ladder, H-link, etc.
- All Materials – Stainless Steel, Gold, Titanium, Ceramic, PVD, etc.
The same way there are many styles of bracelets, there are many styles of pins and screws to secure them. Our watchmakers have experience with all types including the following:
- Friction pins – Also known as split or push pins. The links are held together by pins which create friction between the links. Common in many mid-range pieces such as Seiko and Citizen.
- Pin and Collar – Similar to friction pins but feature a collar which the pins slide through to create the friction. These can be exceptionally tricky and the collars are easily lost.
- Screw Pins – Found commonly on higher end bracelets from brands like Rolex, Omega, Tudor, etc. It’s very easy to scratch and/or strip these screws which are often held in place with loctite.
- Double Screw – A tube runs through the link and is fastened by a small screw on each side. These are difficult to get right and incredibly easy to scratch screws.
- Rivet Links – Some of the most difficult bracelets to resize as the rivets have to be drilled/pushed out and redone. Mostly found on early Rolex and Tudor.
- Folded Links – Thin sheets of metal which are folded over small pins. The links must be precisely unfolded and refolded to resize. Most common on early Rolex models.
- Non Removable Links – In most cases, our team can remove ‘permanent links’ as necessary to ensure the perfect fit.
Our team has decades of experience working with all types of watches, from high-end luxury pieces to vintage classics. We work with:
- High-end pieces – Rolex Oyster, Jubilee, and President bracelets. Integrated bracelets on watches such as Audemars Piguet Royal Oak, Patek Phillipe Nautilus, Vacheron Constantin Overseas. All others including Cartier, Omega, Tudor, Longines, Grand Seiko, Breitling, TAG Heuer, IWC, JLC, Panerai, Zenith, Sinn, Bulgari, Chopard, Hublot, etc.
- Daily drivers – Seiko, Tissot, Hamilton, Citizen, Michele, Casio, Timex, Certina, Rado, Movado, Raymond Weil, Bulova, Junghans, Mido, Alpina, Fossil, and all others
- Vintage timepieces – Our watchmakers specialize in vintage watches and use careful techniques to preserve older, delicate pieces.
- We can also adjust stretchy bands
The right fit is not only comfortable, but it also protects your watch against unnecessary damage. An improperly sized watch can:
- Cause needless wear and tear – Loose bands wear out faster due to increased strain.
- Lead to dings and scratches – A loose watch is far more likely to get hit in passing.
- Leave marks or discomfort – A watch that fits poorly can cause irritation or pressure on your skin.
Our professional team will ensure that your watch is adjusted to a perfect fit, giving you both comfort and security.
If you have purchased a new watch, inherited a timepiece, or noticed that your wrist size has changed, a quick adjustment can make a world of difference. Signs that you need resizing include:
- The watch slides up and down your arm – A band that is too loose can cause excessive wear and discomfort.
- The watch feels tight – Marks, discomfort, or swelling are clear indicators.
- Seasonal fit changes – Your wrist can swell or shrink due to weather and activity.
Bracelet adjustment can be much trickier than it seems especially when dealing with certain types of links such as pin and collar or split screw. There are many styles all of which require unique technique and tooling. We regularly see clients with severely scratched screws and missing/broken pieces from DIY attempts. With decades of experience and state of the art equipment, we can ensure that your watch will be sized quickly and safely. There’s no reason to turn a simple adjustment into a lengthy and expensive repair due to damage caused by a DIY attempt or a generic jeweler.
